We have an opportunity to start carrying some supplements on ARFCOM, and want to see how much interest/demand there would be. Goal would be to provide some of the better products at better prices than what might be available elsewhere using our collective numbers.

If there is an interest, what brands are we most interested in pursuing?

I happen to be a big fan of the Universal Nutrition/Animal products. Let's make a list and see what kind of deals we can make to determine if its worth pursuing.

    INTERESTS:
  • Universal Nutrition/Animal

  • BSN (NO-Xplode/Cellmass)

  • Optimum Nutrition Whey

+1 on ON Whey. I also purchase BSN Cellmass and N.O. Explode quite a bit. I'm always exploring for new places to buy this stuff online. I'd be willing to purchase from ARFcom if the prices were decent. In other words, I wouldn't pay extra $ just because it's coming from this site - no offense

I'm still in the "protein supplement" basic mode, but I'm just about ready to branch out.  If I could get some of those from here for a price that po'folk could pay, I'd buy it.

I'm in for Whey/N0Xplode, Glutamine, and a few others....as long as you ship to APO's, and the prices aren't ridiculous.   I can always go to GNC for ridiculous.

Another +1 for ON 100% Gold Standard whey, if the price is right I'll get some!

Big +1 for the folks at Universal.

Champion Nutrition makes one of the best low carb Pure Whey protein shakes I've ever tasted.

Find us a "legal" source for 1-Test. Now that would be cool....

+1 for Optimum Nutrition whey.

I'm an avid user of products from BSN, Universal and ON and would be interested in purchasing from this site.  Its a competitive market online, so the price would have to be right.

That seems to be the biggest issue; pricing is based on quantity, and unless we have some numbers, sites that make a living at that are selling to consumers for less than wholesale pricing. We would almost need to do a "group buy" to kick things off, or to put orders in once a month.

Ed -

I wonder if you should post something in GD. I bet a lot of people don't know about the Fitness forum. Just an idea.

I am thinking about trying NO explode, I think thats the energy drink right?

I am a big fan of www.allthewhey.com, They seem to offer pretty good service and are easy to talk to. You might want to give them a call.

Ed, I spend over $200 a month on vits and sups. There are several sites I frequent, always looking for sales and the right shipping options.

I just don't see how ar15.com could come even close on price and SELECTION.

However, I would certainly be in on a group buy if the price is right and, of course, if it's a product I normally use.

I buy a LOT of Now Brand products. My last order of just vits, no sups, was over $250 at Iherb.com.
It just wouldn't make sense to buy a couple of products here and then have to order the rest from another source. And that's just vitamins.

Hope it works. I like the idea of supporting this site.

I was going to say the same thing.  A group buy would be great, but if you sell it on ARFCOM, your not going to make any money.  I apreciate the thought, but you would just end up with alot of product that you cant sell.

In theory it sounds like a great idea. Only products I use currently are:

BSN
Muscle Milk
Syntrax

I would have to agree to the sentiment and question/thought of how you would beat out pricing of the likes of Bodybuilding.com etc.

tagging this one for outcome...I am interested. I dont see how the arfcom crowd will buy enough to beat deals some of us are currently getting. But, we are always willing...

Maybe Optimum Nutrition Whey...not familiar with the others you listed.  My teen athlete boys drink protein shakes after each workout.

I buy Optimum Nutrition Whey very regularly at the Vitamin Shoppe locally ($32.99 per 5 lbs). If the price is good, I would buy here. I buy the Chocolate, Mint, and Cookies+Cream.
