When's the last time you worked out? |
|
Hardly ever workout any more. Once in a while I will jog a half mile or so. Maybe ride a bike. I did rake up about 100 lbs of pine needles and bag them this morning. Saturday I did some 12oz curls. I do miss the day when I did (17:50 3 mile run / 20 pull ups / 75 situps) my best USMC PFT back in `73. Several years back I was running regular and was able to do a 25 minute 3 mile run. Probably be lucky to break 30 mins now (if it didn't kill me). |

Jan 1996 - had a 3 month trial membership to Bally's The place was a mess - even the carpet stank. Back then I got plenty of a workout just doing my job. One of the jobs was machining top & bottom surfaces on 90lb anvils. You load & unload a mill all day then you want nothing to do with "more" exercise. |

I worked out today around lunch time. I'm just getting back to it after not doing it for a year or so. Been doing it again for a week or so. It's hard to get started after being away from it for a while. hinking.gif SP |

ok ran 4 miles yesterday with wind sprints today worked the heavy bag (my left sucks ass but is getting better), 3 sets of 40 pushups, 3 sets of 3 sets abs (straight, r oblique and l oblique), 40 reps each or until about to puke, 3 sets or 15 rep dead lifts (cause my back is not strong enough dammit) 75 squats (free hands on head) 1 super set of curls til burn finish with ballistic kicks to Tactical Bob the dummy who scares the SHIT out of me and almost gets shot a few times a week when I come home late and see him in the backyard.... |
|
Push ups, sit ups, curls and flies every day (or almost everyday...). Jujitsu twice a week 0630 to 0730 hrs in class of 5-7 other students, and once a week or every other week an hour by myself with per trainer working on my stand-up (striking). Currently competition shoot w/AR once a month, want to start IDPA once a month (starting in Nov time permitting...). Shoot at work (LEO) every week or every other week indoor range/pistol. ps. Funny...I'm 37 yrs and I could KICK THE CRAP out of the 21 yr old version of me! Mid-life crisis can work in your favor if you channel the energy... |
Yeah I hear you. I'm 35 and we have 20+ yr olds coming in to roll. Sometimes some kid will come in totally jacked from lifting weights, strong as hell. Go technical on him, get him locked up in something, then the veterans all yell "USE THE MUSCLES, USE THE MUSCLES!!!". |
