| I took my blood sugar this morning and it was a 63. I was told this is supposed to be somewhere near 80 on an empty stomach. My regular diet is roughly 1500-2000 calories a day mostly protein in the form of chicken, turkey or beef. I eat pasta in the morning so it is pretty much used up later in the day and have vegetables with every meal. It is fairly balanced. I drink around 2-3 gallons of water a day with the occasional glass of milk mixed in. What should i do to raise my blood sugar level without adding excess calories. |

There is no way you can naturally increase blood sugar levels without adding cals. Releases of adrenaline, glucagon etc, will elevate it but you basically need to eat something. You should not be eating less than 2000 calories.Better to take a little longer in losing the weight,or do a bit more exercise, than to go into a "starvation" diet. All you will do is "consume" your own tissues. And it will not be selectively fat you burn. You will destroy muscle as well. Eat at least 2000 cals and space them in several meals (5-7/day) |
