I've had good luck with creatine so I'm adding a 2nd supplement. I'm going to try fish oil. Anyone use this if so how much, when, and what brand? What benefits did it provide? I've got a bottle of 1000 mg pills that says 300 mg of EPA/DHA and purified to remove Mercury, PCBs, and Dioxins. I was planning to take 2 pills 3 times a day.

It worked GREAT when I was still in my late 20's and cutting carbs.

Now that I'm in my 40's I take 4000mg a day of Omega 3, and it barely moves my HDL up a point. However, If I run out and skip taking it for more than a week, I notice a lot of joint pain and muscle aches.

It definitely won't hurt, but it's effects won't be nearly as good as actual diet/exercise.

The joint pain is what I'm hoping to see an improvement in. Not a big problem for me but I have a couple sore areas. Usually after waking up or before I warm up.

I like the krill oil better, easier on my stomach.  Get it at Sam's when they have it on special.

I use Progenex Omega +.  I didn't know how much it helped until I stopped taking it for a week and my knees started to hurt to the point that I couldn't go very heavy on back squats.  It has stuff other than fish oil in it as well, but smells like straight up fish ass.
