I've been doing these for a couple weeks for core work to help my back. When I started I could only do the knee raises and then the leg raise out to parallel. I'm up to 7 or 8 with my feet over my head now. I had this nagging injury in my lower abs since Feb from doing weighted pull ups. I think the chain injured something. I thought it might be a hernia or a weak spot ready to be a hernia because ab pressure from holding my breath on some lifts made it hurt. About a week after doing these I noticed I had no more pain. Not sure how they helped but I'm really happy that injury is healed. I was starting to think it would never go away.
