How are y'all doing this?  I have a Ruger LCP that I'd like to carry while I run.  Looking for ideas...

Thanks,
Sudboy

I tried a few different things back when I ran a lot more. Never found anything that worked well enough. The closest thing I had was a little fanny pack type deal with a small water bottle and zipper pouch to put a kel-tec in.

Eventually I decided that if someone was going to mug me while I was running 1. The joke is on them 'cause I don't run with any fucking money anyway 2. It just must be my time. I decided to take the risk and go without.

I've been thinking about giving one of these I.C.E. velcro adjustable belly band holsters a try for this very task.

I tried a different kind of belly band but it did not work for running. Also I sweat a lot and it got nasty quick and is not easy to wash.

Same. I have a G19 shaped scuff mark on my right hip.

We don't look like food. This is doubly true when there are sheeple in the area. A good criminal will avoid us. Only the stupid or truly desperate would chance taking on another predator.

I had a guy pull a gun on me one night.  I was using the couch to 5k app and on a walk break and when it beeped I was at the half way point so I turned around and started running again.  The dude came running after me thinking that I'd turned around because I was going to rob his house and that I'd seen him outside.

So he yells that he's going to shoot me and so I stop.  So we walk back under the light from someones front porch and he recognizes me from work.  He works for centurylink and has has fixed my office phones.

I carried after that instance in a belly band holster for a while but have since stopped.  I always look at the Hill people gear thing but have so far passed.  I'm sure it's hot but also bet it's much more comfortable and convenient than the belly band.  I do at least try and carry a headlamp now and sometimes a reflective belt.

Turned out the guy is a wife beater and so I wish I'd called the cops that night.

I have a belly band holster.  I hate wearing it and don't have a gun small enough to make it comfortable either.  I've always wanted to try these.

FWIW, I have the 5.11 version of the shirt you posted, although mine is slightly different.  There is no way I would go running in mine.  I can't even keep a pistol in it when I do nothing more than bend over, running I'm sure would send it spinning across the road or sidewalk sometime.  A friend of mine wears one nearly every day and loves his, but he's about 100lbs overweight and doesn't do a lot of active things, so I don't think he puts the shirt into the conditions where it fails and he's large enough that he's got a lot of tension on the pistol.

I pretty much never use mine unless I know I won't be active, like in a dress shirt and slacks or something.

Tried again IWB. G19, Kaluban Cloak, Comptac clips. Used a Wilderness Frequent Flyer and cinched it up tight, with the pistol a little farther back than I normally do.

Did 4.5 m tonight and it felt good. The key seems to be getting the belt tight. If it can slip around it gives me a rub spot.
