| I just got the email that EliteFTS has free shipping on their yoke / safety-squat bar. I think I have read that a couple of people here like SS bars. Is it worth picking one up for $399? I have some occasional shoulder issues, and figure that it would be useful for goodmornings, too. |

I like the SSB it is much easier on the shoulders. But it changes yours squat so it is not the same as regular squats. If you have the cash I would reccommend getting one. |

When they messed up and had them for 299 free shipping... I would have bought one (I actually thought my wife HAD gotten one for me for xmas, otherwise...) Now?... I'd wait for a Black Widow sale... Its an almost equal bar and on sale is quite a bit cheaper... Unless you're a "Name brand" kinda guy... I know I am with a lot of things, but I've only heard good about the black widow. The rogue bar is an option, but is equally expensive as EFS's... and I know there were some finishing problems early in production that I think they have fixed by now. |

That is what I did, got it on the black friday sale. For the quality it is very well made and I don't think you will find one better quality. |

I definitely will. I am thinking a dedicated deadlift bar, and maybe some sort of swiss-bar wouldn't be bad ideas, either. I have the swiss bar along with the SSB on the black friday deal. Maybe email Black widow and see if he will give you a deal if you buy two bars. |

I figure I might as well pick up some sort of deadlift bar, or at least another bar, to save some time with loading / unloading plates. I mostly just want to eliminate some of the drudgery, and put that time to better use. I know what your saying. A "deadlift" bar is a speciality bar that is a little whippier. You are just talking about an extra bar. I have several of them so i dont have to unload for my wife. |
| Pretty much "either, or", at this point. If I can pick up a specialty bar, specifically for deads, at a decent price, I figure "why not?" However, I'll never compete, with my history of injuries. So, if I am relegated to a beater bar with decent knurling, I'll be fine with that, too. I always feel like I am losing productive time dicking around with loading / unloading. A jack would probably help that, too. |
