OK.  I'm going to start this with a bit of a chip on my shoulder after hearing every Facebook expert tell me a dozen different things.

I'm doing 5/3/1. I cannot process lactose in that volume.  I know, I know, Wendler says get wet naps etc but I work in an office environment and have to fucking function so no, no, no.  NOT happening.

People said OMG ALMOND MILK.  Nearly all fat and practically no protein.  Makes no sense in the GOMAD theory at all.

Stumbled on Soy milk, which has great numbers and ratios, bit OMG ESTROGEN JUNK PROTEIN. I guess the 1-2mg of anastrozole a week that I mentioned repeatedly just doesn't mean anything.

So I need to put roughly 180g of protein and about that much in fats in me BEFORE adding 3 protein shakes, and nothing seems to fit the bill.

Someone please tell me this has been scienced out?  Every alternative I've been pitched is nothing but fat or impractical to consume enough of in a day.

Throw me a bone here. I am going to fail because I can't process lactose and that is unacceptable.

GOMAD is for the 6' 135 pound novice who has never lifted before in his life and is just starting to lift seriously.

Applying it outside of these very narrow constraints is a pretty solid way to get fat.  There's nothing set in stone about GOMAD despite what the internet says.  The only magical thing about it is that it's a way to get a solid amount of calories, protein, and fat in a form that most people find to be easier than conventional food (which you still eat plenty of).  If this doesn't apply to you, then there's nothing wrong about getting your nutrition from somewhere else.

I didn't just pull the bag of Doritos out of my ass to by funny. Straight out of an episode of Genitic Potential with Mark Bell and Jesse Burdick.

So if you're already on the big side (18%) and using 5/3/1 for strength and muscle gains, what sort of non-GOMAD intake and calorie count will still allow that without adding extra fatassery?

what caloric intake keeps you at current weight/muscle... then add 500kcal daily for a few weeks, reassess.
