I've finished p90x, did 2 weeks of insanity, started running 15 miles a week to train for a savage race (tons of fun btw), and restarted p90x.
While I'm much stronger, have way more stamina, and look better, I want to lose the last 6 lbs or so of fat from my gut region (26 yrs old, 5'9 155lbs). Eat less really isn't a possibility. I've cut back about as much as I can at this point. What can I do to cut the last few lbs? Anyone use ECA stack or any metabolism boosters? |

My son would cut 12-15 lbs a week to make weight for wrestling. First thing to go is anything that's not whole grain. Run, run and run some more. No soda, no sports drinks, no salt. I don't drink soda or sports drinks. Only water and some beer on the occasional weekend. I have to keep my salt intake where it is or else my BP will drop lower than it needs to be. 106/56 w a resting HR of 51. When I cut salt I was in the 90s and had orthostatic hypotension like crazy. I'm not looking to cut water weight (which is what most wrestlers are actually cutting), just the last few lbs. |

What is your diet like right now? |

Can't eat less?... or refuse to... Regardless. I'm hearing "I dont wanna change what I'm doing, but I want different results. Can drugs help?!?" Typical entitled american bullshit. Simply: Keep doing the same shit and get the same shit results; or change what you're doing to get the results you're desiring... |

Typically a grilled chicken sandwich for lunch and whatever I cook for dinner. Lately chicken, pork chops, ect w sautéed veggies. If I eat less then I lose gains I've made ETA: I have to eat hospital cafeteria food at least 4 days a week. Grilled chicken sandwich and grilled chicken wraps are the best I can do |

Everything I have read is that it is bro-science. To the OP, you are just going to have to eat less and sacrifice the gains. EC stack can help. I'm eating a good amount of black beans, the high fiber helps with the hunger. |
| Ditch the bread/wraps, up the meat and veggies. If getting lean is the goal, up the pace of your workouts, and/or do them as circuits. Strength gains will suffer, but your lifting sessions will essentially double as HIIT routines. Big, compound excersises, back-to-back-to-back; set of squats, followed by chins, followed by dips, followed by rows; repeat with minimal rest. |

Whether or not you believe the science behind several small meal boosting metabolism, one thing that is irrefutable is that several small meals spread out through the day helps you to minimize caloric intake. Eating 2-3 times a day tends to lead to significant hunger, resulting in oversized portions. Other than veggies, large portions of most healthy foods is bad for weight loss. Even worse, if you body is used to just a couple times a day when it gets nutrition, and doesn't get anything nutritious for hours on end, it stores away fat and glucose for emergency purposes. If your body thinks there is any chance of starving, it does not burn energy stores - it burns muscle mass for fuel. I don't know what the rules are for the hospital, but if you can sneak away to the break room for just 5 minutes every 2-3 hours, you can down a protein shake or a healthy snack. Anything is better than nothing. |

Also, the rest of what you posted is in direct opposition to the studies I have seen. Your body doesn't think you are starving by eating 2-3 meals a day.

[ ETA: I have to eat hospital cafeteria food at least 4 days a week. Grilled chicken sandwich and grilled chicken wraps are the best I can do Pack a lunch. Avoid the red. I haven't had a piece of bread in a month. (EDIT: I had a half a hot dog bun this weekend) Do you know what your BF% is? If you are looking to sustain it under 10%, good luck with that being in college, drinking beer, and working all the time. Try lifting more , drink vodka cranberry's instead of beer. Or the ol' white lady can help ya. |

Id just like to be sub 10% for the rest of summer ETA: im living off of student loans so the $7 a day lunch stipend we get is actually very important to me. |

It seems like you are asking the impossible. If you want your body to be a finely tuned machine (not that 10% body fat is necessary for that) then its going to need the time and upkeep, which you either dont have or wont give. The very first thing you need is good sleep (which you dont have time for). The second thing you will need is good nutrition (which you dont have the money/time for). The third thing you will need is a dedication to training (which you dont have the time for). This is the healthful (relatively) path to what you want. There are other paths but I suggest not taking them as you will sacrifice strength and health for a low body fat %, and that is just tom-foolery. EDIT: For what its worth, up until two months ago I didnt have the time or money for this either and i completely understand your predicament. But realize, low body fat may seem extremely attractive but its NOT synonymous with strength, and it is DEFINITELY not synonymous with overall health. |

Having a "free" meal every day is the main thing about the $7. I can eat for less than that, but that means I have to spend money for something that is provided for me. also means i have to cook more. I like where I'm at now but can always be better. And what better time than living on the coast during beach season for my 1 day off a week
