I've finally started working out again after a several year break. Right before I quit lifting, I was bench pressing (incline, flat, decline) 85lbs dumbbells. I try to stay away from the bar and weights because my left arm is weaker and I tend to lift my left shoulder. The dumbbells force me to use each arm independently and balance them out. I've lost strength and can only push 60lbs for 10 reps which means I have a ways to go before I get back to where I was.
I've also started taking protein again using the same stuff as last time, Wheybolitic Extreme 60. It never bothered me before but this stuff is Drano for me now. I'm not sure if its the 60g of protein or the whey but I need to find something else. I've seen that they make a soy-based protein but know nothing about it. Is it a good quality protein or is there something else on the market I can try? Thanks |

Quoted: You should try some NO-Xplode. Joking hopefully? It's not even a protein supp. OP- it may be 60g all at once, I've heard of people having that issue...it could also be the whey. Try a half serving and see if 30g still does it, if it does maybe try some beef protein like Carnivore to see if it's the whey (never used it, but guys seem to like it)

If so, either get protein that comes with a protease enzyme or buy the enzymes separately.

Beverly International UMP.
the best tasting protein shake EVER I have tried muscle milk, ON, and several other cheaper options and technically i am not lactose intolerant. but mixing any of those on the left I have horrible "egg" farts all day long. UMP is more expensive but i don't have that problem at ALL. |

my main issue with soy its that its a GMO. Anti-GMO is the worst; it is not based in science. For the record ALL corn, wheat, rice, barley, tomatoes and potatoes are GMO. Most of what you know as a food crop, does not exist in a recognizable, or even useful form in the wild. |

There's a difference between GMO, and the shite that Monsanto is pushing into the mainstream these days. Monsanto GMO's ARE terrible for you, and terrible for livestock as well. |

I eat a very strict diet of
whole grain pancakes with margarine for breakfast. Machine processed high nitrate bologna with high glycemic index fruits and healthy, nutrient rich iceburg lettuce for lunch Dinner is usually pasta with tofu or seton and soy protein shake for dessert. None of that is true. |
