Been a bit since I did a post, but LIFE has a way of taking up time.
I was looking at some things this morning, when I came across this video on shotgun ammo for home defense. I knew from years of hunting with a single shot, 12 ga., that certain loads can have devistating results on tissue and bone, and this video just seems to drive that point home. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gq3RVvL9ZjU&feature=player_embedded I know how the guy feels with the price of food these days, but it is a good test, and just goes to show what I and others had known for some time. Don't discount a good buckshot load at close range ( 0 - 20'). While my shotgun has a full choke, this video just goes to further drive home the point that shot loads even with an open choke, can do some serious damage without over-penitration. |
