I was curious on how much protein I would need to eat a day while working out?

I read somewhere its 1.5 grams per body weight, is this whats usually recommended?

Just want to make sure I am eating enough protein to get full benefit from my workouts

Generally speaking the rule is 1g per lb of body weight.  If you're training hard though, definitely strive for at least 1.5.  I've noticed that my strength gains are much steadier when I'm able to maintain a higher protein intake.

I will try to get 1 gram per body weight, going to have to add an extra meal ( weigh 200 right now)

Make sure that it is good quality protein.  Animal protein is #1, followed by whey.  I avoid that soy crap.

I try to do 1.2 grams per lb of lean body mass. So, if I weigh 205lbs, and have 13% body fat, I go for about 214 grams per day.

I take my bodyweight and multiply it by exactly 2.7 shitloads, and add about a half a shitload just to be sure.

There's no physiological reason to cut it close.

"too much" is if I'm eating more than my bodyweight in meat per day.

Up till then?... We're good.
