Anyone interested in this?
http://www.fitocracy.com http://techcrunch.com/2011/06/28/fitocracy-brings-games-and-social-to-your-workouts-invites-within/ You log your workouts and it gives you points and levels in a quasi RPG type manner. Its in beta so its not open to the public yet, you need an invite. I got one and now have a few invites. If someone is interested say so in this thread and I'll send an invite to the first person to do so. That person will have 10 invites so they can chain the next person in the list. |

So is this a fitness focused social networking deal? Could be neat, lets just hope it does not go the way of pretty much every public fitness forum, board, or community on the internet. Pretty much, its supposedly in beta, not sure what other features they plan on adding in the future. Did you want an invite? |

Here is another code that might work as well. |

Just signed up for this this week. Interesting concept. Thought it sounded a bit geeky at first, but it's provided me some decent motivation to exercise as the competitive side of me has kicked in a bit. And it's a good way to keep track of what I've done. That and I get to give crap to the cute chick at work for her spinning classes as my equivalent road rides give me more points. The listing of exercises seems pretty comprehensive, but I don't know how "accurate" the points system really is. Definitely worth a look. Their mobile site seems pretty good for logging exercises. Very simplified and has that native iOS feel. |
