I know some of you post questions about gaining some mass.  Here is a protein bar recipe that I use occasionally.  Definitely cheaper and tastes much better than over the counter bars.

Mix the following by wooden spoon...

12-14 scoops of matrix or optimum nutrition protein (or protein of your choice)

2.5lbs of Peanut Butter

30oz of honey

(This will become very thick and very tough to mix by hand...it will be
like concrete)

However, if it is extremely hard to mix, add honey...

If it is too easy to mix add more protein/peanut butter...

Once completely mixed (an hour later), start making bars out of
the mix and place them in a tupperware container lined with wax paper.  Put them in
the fridge over night and keep refridgerated.

how many bars does that make?

edit: the only thing putting me off here is off the top of my head that is about the protein/calorie ratio looks a little whack. granted, some guys need all the calories they can get, but that mix is at least 14000 calories. or too look at it another way, if you made the bars into 300 calorie portions, each would have 8 or 9 grams of protein depending on the whey used.

It's usually 25g - 30gs per scoop.

It depends on how big you want to make the bars.

Honestly, I never count calories.  I stay to the mid to lower end of my weight class (220lbs) and never fail a weigh in.

This is one of those recipes you have to play with if you want your macros to be exact.

You can milk or even water if it gets to hard to mix.  I always just wash my hands and mix it like you do with meatloaf.  It always works out.
