Sweet deal! So my question is I have heard that the heavy caliber ARs need a solid stock to handle the recoil and that collabsible stocks will shatter under the increased stresses, how true is this? Anyone have one of these and could maybe give some input on it and its effectiveness/ reliability?

If you are going to use a scope is there any advantage to a 20" over the 16?

I have a magpul ctr stock on my 458 socom , no problems with over 500 rounds so far . I wanted the adjustable stock to compensate for extra clothes during hunting season plus the rubber but pad helps some with recoil.

I'll stick with the original gas tube.  Why mess with a good thing?
