Ok I took the site down and yeah it sucked, but it was quick! (And that reboot prolly sucked too... sorry about that!) So here's the deal... Our front page news has been revamped completely. We're now storing an archive of all news stories and handling them much quicker to keep speed up on the servers. I rewrote the code and expanded it to allow for greater flexibility and decided to add a mess of additional news for the site. (For those who care.) There's now a link for NEWS FEEDS on the home page (by the Firearm News header) which will take you too the news feed page... from there you can check out the archives which contain small descriptions of the articles as well as listing them all (by category) or you can simply click on the titles and go to the appropriate story. I put a number of World, US, and Firearm sources into the mix now so we'll get faster, better, and more widespread news topics to you. I even through in a sports headlines section. Keep in mind that the news is being updated every few hours... if things go well we can kick this up to be "real time" which is in actuality every 15minutes. (News people suck!) So hopefully you'll enjoy the new addition. |
