Is there a timeline for when the archives are going to be made readily available and searchable again, with avatars attached?
There's some seriously good information out there, but it's hidden or hard to access. |

As to the avatars/user info returning; I'm not sure that will come back. Having these old discussions safe and visible is critical, but I think the anonymous nature of the archives is a good thing to help protect folks from future pains. This way your history can't harm you down the road. By proactively protecting folks, we eliminate much of the risk associated with data mining. (Look at how much old tweets come back to haunt people.) Never say never though. I usually take my cues from the community and tend to act on YOUR behalf. Once the community feels it's ok to display, then I will listen. |

Might be a silly question, but is it standard for a picture to show correctly in a post preview, but only shows the link when you post it? Perhaps not showing the picture because I posted it but the rest of the forum can see it as intended?

Looking at your post count, I'm guessing you are still in the phase where pics don't get posted until they are marked as OK by Team Members. I don't know how many it takes until they start showing up normally. But I believe it's just to prevent someone from just spamming dick pics/inappropriate pics with new/low post count accounts. Post a link to your post where you posted a pic. |
