So for the past several years, I have been running a Tab Gear rear bag and loving it. Recently I decided to attach it to my stock for stages that require lots of movement. At my last match I was shooting a barricade and forgot to take it off. We had a somewhat gusty day with a crosswind of 8-14 mph and with that heavy Tab Gear bag swinging on the back end of my rifle it cost me 2 points. With the stress of time and the movement of that bag I was having the most difficult time removing the stupid QD attachment from my stock.
I am now looking to upgrade to something lighter and was curious what you guys were running and what benefits they give. |
| Thought about refilling it with something lighter, but right now I don't have a machine capable of stitching it back. Also my hand sewing skills are lacking. Thinking of running my buddies shoot zero bags, but was just curious about the others that are on the market. |

Huh. So, the rear bag is more-or-less constantly attached to the stock with this system? That's actually kind of an interesting concept... |

I just bought the 2 round versions from Wilderness Tactical. Very nice! |

(Not to hijack) what are the ones that you squeeze to bring up elevation? That would be all of them unless the bag was over filled which most commercial bags are. That's why i make my own. If having the bag on the stock all the time is what you want look at this option. It works very well. http://www.shop.tigervalley.com/Tiger-Valley-Sling-Bag-TVSlingBag.htm |

What do you use to fill yours? The poly beads seem to be heavy if you're looking to fill a larger bag (can weigh a few pounds). What do these companies use to get their bags so light? Quoted:

I don't find it overly heavy but I don't use large bench rest style bags. Just a sock sized rear bag.
