Hi I recently purchased a tikka ctr and put it in a krg chassis I am looking into getting into the "tactical practical" long range shooting matches
Anybody have any recommendations on good glass with a good magnification range and tracking that won't completely break the bank? Any help Appreciated |

Read this thread. I have the scopes ranged from low to high. Look for ones in your budget and see which ones have the features you want. If you have any questions about certain ones we can help ya out.

Hi, I went through this 10 years ago and I was recommend two from guys on The Hide.
Sightron SII 4-14 mildot. Now they make an SIII model My SII has lasted 2 K rounds on my Savage Tactical with McMillian fitted stock. I have the money now to put a Nightforce on it but why as I can hit the steel at 800 meters with regularity. Next Burris Fullfield with Mil dot. I have one on a 6.5X55 Mauser and it is my hunting rifle, again the scope has been on for 5 years with no problems. Today I can buy what I want and have 1 Zeiss, 2 U S Optics and 3 Leupolds, are they clearer and stronger, yes, but I'm probably not going to take the less expensive off the rifles they are on. |

The sightron siii line is a completely different animal from the sii line. The siii are excellent and have some first focal plane options as well as Horus reticle options. |
