How low do you want it? Factory barrel? Objective diameter / 2 = the height the centerline of the scope needs to be to clear a barrel the diameter of your action. Add 3-5 mm to this for actual clearance. Then, subtract the height of your rail. This will give you the measurement that the rings need to be from where they contact the rail to the centerline. Most ring manufacturers provide this measurement. If they only provide the distance from where the ring contacts the rail to where it contacts the bottom of the scope tube, you need to add 17.5 mm. This all need to be converted to inches.

Choices for 35mm rings are limited. Go with the .95" high rings. They will work fine. No need for math.

Here is the same scope on Seekins Precision 20 MOA base and .95" rings.
