I am seeing Buckmasters priced cheaper than the Pro Staffs, I am looking for a scope for a hunting gun and thought the Buckmasters were above the Pro Staffs.

I was thinking of buying it and either using it on my 7mm mag or 300 win, also want something for a 22-250, got my eye on a VX-3 Varmint though.

In my limited experience the Leupold would be a better choice. Varmint reticle is a little light for dawn and dusk I think.

Ya, I think on the 22-250 Varmint gun I am going with the vx3 but was looking for a cheaper scope to go on the deer/hunting rifles. I have 2 Prostaffs and liked the clarity of them over some of the other cheaper scopes. Like in another thread I have a hard time buying anything in the $400+ range that says Made in the Philippines.

I have in the past picked up some used Leupold VX 2-3 in the $250-$400 range and felt this was the best bang for the buck. might stick with this.

Is it at Cabelas? Word on the street is that they are a Cabelas exclusive and likely re-badged Pro Staffs.

I saw them on Cabelas website, but the best deal is Optics Planet, free shipping and 5% off codes

Buckmaster has been discontinued, that's why they are priced lower.

VX 3 off the EE can be a great deal.

Well $143 shipped, It will go on the 700 7mm until I find something better, I have the same problem I used to have with ar15 lowers/uppers,  seeing a hi power rifle without a scope on it makes me jumpy. bad thing is I have yet to zero any of them in the last year or two.

Very nice. I have 4-12X40 Prostaff that has been on a couple rifles.
