Looking to get a 1 piece pic base for a rem 700, is there really any difference I'll see using a $60 TPS base and bedding it properly vs some of the$150-$200 bases out there?

TPS makes pretty good stuff so you shouldn't have any problem with the base the difference can be straightness of the base
in how it sits on your receiver . I've seen cheap bases that are bowed .
I wouldn't have any worries with the base you're buying.

Their rings are quality and well made. I don't see an issue if the base is as well made.
Even a $200 base will need bedding because the mounting surface will not be perfect.
