Was kicking around this idea of a large frame AR in 22-250 with a fast twist, say 1X7 or 1X8 twist to be able yo run the heavies.

The .22 nosler should be right on the heals of the .22-250. And still fit in the AR15 platform.
I agree that with the .22 Creedmoor just a little more case capacity and you don't have to load it as hot so your pressure curve might be less. But that would be way too tempting. I bet the .22 Creedmoor would really get interesting with a 80 to 90gr bullet. |
