I'll be doing long term testing on the DRD Tactical CDR-15-556 and M762, and a long range all-day testing of their Kivaari .338 Lapua this weekend. This weekend's testing will be on the 2500yd range at Legion OTG in Blakely GA. 350-500 rounds of Lapua-brand .338 Lapua ammo in a day! That's a big ol' chunk o' change down range!
I'll be switching optics around on the 556; a Burris MTAC 1-4x24mm and a NF 2.5-10x32mm. Eventually, I'll probably top it with a NF 2.5-10x24mm I've had my eye on. I'll be using a GDI P-ROM L-Model mount on this one. The M762 will have a NF ATACR 4-16x42mm F1 in a NF Unimount. The Kivaari .338 I'm shooting this weekend (a demo shoot for possible overseas customer) will be topped with an S&B PMII 5-25x56mm with the Horus H59 reticle. Soon I'll have one of these rifles of my own to do a long term test.......I'll be using a NF BEAST 5-25x56mm with H59 reticle and Mil i4F turrets. I'll also have the opportunity to run these 2 scopes head-to-head......looking forward to that! The BEAST will be mounted in a NF Unimount. |

I already sent your barrel a goodbye gift ;) Lucky bastard... My jealousy precedes me. Seriously, have fun. Please follow up. We need a no bullshit review on these rifles, not that a sample size of one means much, but still nice to know (may have a definable pattern of issue[s] amongst the three different rigs). They certainly are proud of them, I hope they perform up to their respective price tags. |
