Does anyone have experience with the McRees Precision Barrel Kit in 6.5 creedmore? I have a older remington 700 SPS tac that I have put close to 6000 rounds through and I would like to rebarrel it. I like the fact that you can rebarrel it yourself at home vs sending it to a smith. But was wondering if anyone has any firsthand experience and what kind of accuracy I could expect. I need a gun that will get me to 1100 yards and the 6.5 is more than capable.

Not sure if they still do, but criterion was making those for them.  I've not owned one but have seen them shoot and they do very well.  The profile is a touch lite for my liking, but over all not a bad set up.

I got pretty much the same kit from Northland Shooter's Supply.  You may want to check them out too.

I have one in 308 on a Stiller Tac-30 action. It shoots as good as my two GA Precision built rifles.
