I'm looking at purchasing a Masterpiece arms competition in 6.5 creedmore. I have not found many end user reviews. Anyone have first hand experience with MPA. Rifles.

That particular model is kind of meh to me.  It's built on a factory action and is specifically marketed as being PRS production class legal.  It's not going to be a bad gun, but it isn't the route I would be going for a rifle.

So the rifle is 2k, right?

If you put their rifle together yourself, you're looking at the following: Trued 700 action, if you don't have one, is going to be 7-800.00, IIRC.  The chassis is 915.00.  Barrel, chambering and threading would put you at another 700.00ish.  Don't forget that trigger, which is 130.00 (Trigger Tech). Even going on the lower end of pricing for the action and barrel work (call it 700 and 600 for the work, which is 1300.00).  You include the chassis and trigger and you're at about 2400.00.

Oddly enough, they are using a "honed" Bergara barrel.  Bergara is now entering the PR game as well.  In fact, I just fondled this rifle about 4 hours ago at my LGS:  http://bergarausa.com/bergara_premier_series_lrp_rifle.php  for 1999.00.  This comes with the Bergara action, XLR chassis, and a Timney trigger.

I have no first hand experience with either rifle, though I have shot one of the MPA chassis (it was a custom build, not from MPA) and I actually liked it.  I am not really a big fan of the chassis systems, but they did put a lot of thought into that one.  I have contemplated trying one out for competing, but haven't gotten there yet.

I honestly believe you would be good to go with either rifle. If I were in your boat, I would definitely roll with the MPA.  The owner of MPA seems to be an outstanding guy and even though his company is newer to the precision rifle realm, he has done a hell of a lot to support our sport. I am absolutely certain they would stand behind their builds, or so I would hope!
