Anyone have any experience with these rifles? I'm interested in one but have never owned or even shot a CZ bolt gun. I hear good things but figured I'd ask for myself to be sure.
I'm thinking of picking one up if they aren't junk.
Eta: I'm a big fan of 308 so that's the caliber I'm interested in buying one in.

OP - the CZ 557's are excellent rifles. The actions are smooth, stocks are quality, they come with a DBM, and their triggers are single set, IIRC.

Huge fan. Shot a good number of them. Always well built, great fit and feel. Single set trigger is a little weird at first but works great. I'd own one in a heartbeat if I had a need for another rifle.

I have a 527 varmint in .223 and so far it has been a great rifle and very accurate. No complaints with it so far.

I have this one in 308 and it's a tack driver - especially with the 150gr that doesn't group as well in my Savage 10fp. Heavy as a mofo though. I love CZ bolt guns - the 550 was my first and I have a 452fs, 453varmint, and 527 in 7.62x39. All are a joy to shoot (and hit pretty much anything I aim at).
I just checked and my older version has a 1:12 compared to the new 1:10 short action.
