Built this saturday... Spare / backup to my AI..

Barrel was delivered sat. morning, picked up the 700 from Walmart Thursday

the budget parts..

379$ Walmart 700

230$ magpul chassis

60$ DBM kit

320$ rem-age black hole weaponry polygonal 260 Barrel

25$ KRG bolt lift

30$ 20moa Weaver tac rail

the non budget parts i had laying around..

300$ CG X-Treme Mod 22 2-stage Trigger
Razor Gen 1

Getting the original Barrel off is the largest pain in the ass. The best way to do it is to heat up the action right where the barrel threads are until you hit 300 degrees to break all of the factory Loctite that's in there , and then put a huge fricking bar on it to get it off

Lugs look like shit, 1 lug has zero contact...

When I have more time I'll pull it back apart and send the action out to get fixed

This was shots 10 - 15 after the first 10 fouled the bore.

No load development, just the load I use in my AI

the rest

Buds guns has them for $399 with free shipping, sure there is an FFL fee but you are saving some money without tax. For a project like this you could even just buy a nicer receiver/bolt combo for $380.

Wal-Mart and Academy often have ADLs for <$400; haven't seen 700s at Dicks for under that any time other than Black Friday.
