7mm-08 > Bolt Action Rifles

Why is this cartridge not more popular? The ballistics are close to the 6.5 Creedmoor.
Am I missing something? Seems like it would be a great round for a precision rifle.

It is a great round (7-08 and so 260),
However, right now the 6.5 CM is the go-to round.

Its a awesome round. My go to big game rifle is a 7-08 tikka t3.

The 7mm-08 is the perfect white-tailed deer cartridge IMO.

I had one a few years back, great little round, finding a load was a piece of cake and the recoil wasn't to bad.

I like it so much I built a 7mm/08 AR 10. On shot stop on 2 deer this year. 140grn, and 154 RN spitz. Love that gun.

And don't bitch at me about my stock choices. Lol
