Does anyone have experience with the Proof Research Tac II? I am thinking about purchasing one in .308 for long range shooting.

What do you consider long range and what do you want it to do?

I consider anything greater then 600 yards long range. I'm looking for a rifle that can consistently shoot .5" groups 100 yards.

Not knocking their rifles as I have no experience with them but if you want a light weight rifle you can get a rifle put together with one of their barrels which will shoot .5MOA for a hell of a lot less money.

That is my thought. if you want to spend the cash on their barrel you could still do a custom action and a manners carbon stock. As far as 308 goes that round is totally off my radar.
