I have always been an AR / AK guy - but, I hunt with Savage rifles and like them.. This Savage 10P-SR had been sitting in the safe for a while, after a bored day trip to Academy..

So over time I added the following, after reading and learning through this thread:

McMillan A5 Stock
CDI Precision DBM Kit (Pictured with Magpul AI Mag - works perfectly)
Seekins 20 MOA scope mount with recoil lug
Seekins LOW 30MM scope rings
Seekins SRS Rail
Vortex VIPER PST 4-16
** Awaiting Atlas Bipod
** Also possibly awaiting Accurization from competent Gunsmith..

Barrel is 18" threaded -- whenever I get my tax stamp back - it will have a Silencerco Omega on it...

Looking good.

This is my latest production version Savage 10 FCP-SR (note the Savage Box mag and different stock). Started as a 22 inch had it cut and threaded to 16 inch. I'm actually waiting on a Silencer Co Omega myself.
Vortex Viper PST scope.

Those Atlas bipods are awesome. I need to pick one up myself.

What kind of "accurizing" are looking into? Not sure what you could do to it. Mine is Sub MOA. I do roll my own bullets though.

Nice rifle ScoutH57..

I have found these guys at Savage Gunsmithing - they seem to have a very good reputation..  They have an accurizing package, in which they bed the receiver, install bigger recoil lug and make sure bolt face, chamber and lug are concentric.  I haven't had a chance to get this rifle to the range yet, so I want to see how it shoots and how consistent it is..  So that's why I say possibly ..  The folks at McMillan say their stocks don't need to be bedded because they build there stocks to tighter tolerances -- who knows..  Accurization couldn't hurt - and heck, I have come this far already - why not :)
