Everything in the picture $8500. Looks cool but does it shoot? Hopefully your skills match your gear. Well this is my first precision rifle, so hopefully it will be a fun platform to learn L.R shooting... Range report on the 29th Unfortunately i'm work 7 days a week during the summer... So its hard to get to the range... I got to pay for these toys somehow I guess |

You've got one hell of a nice rifle there. Once you begin to learn precision shooting you won't ever have to wonder if it's you or the rifle provided you feed it quality ammo. Nor will you have to concern yourself with upgrading later down the road (there are arguably higher quality scopes but that NF is sufficient for anything you'll want to do). Good on ya |

Good on ya I did the same thing some 40 days ago, and had the exact same logic. I purchased a TacOps X-Ray 51. The Rifle, Scope (Vortex Gen 2 HD Razor 4.5-27x57), Suppressor (Titanium TacOps), and accessories came to the ~$16k+ mark. By the time I add the reloading equipment, it is above $20k. The rifle is a pure work of art, and shoots that way too. My best group thus far in a 5 shot group was a .198. The best in a 3 shot group was a .167; this was all done with commercial match grade ammo. I plan on attempting the MOA contest and F Class; it just gets very exhausting for me to shoot a bunch on the range. Yet, like the OP in this thread - it was my first tactical precision rifle. I threw money at the problem, because I could, and wanted to know that anything other than perfection should be placed on my shoulders squarely. I have high confidence that the rifle shoots as promised (1/4 MOA) and I can work on my specific skills and not worry about the equipment (too much, there is always some variable in there). In my situation, it was the best choice for me with my circumstances and goals. Hence, I see no issue with what the OP did here. 'Grats and a nice rifle sir! Just get some trigger time and enjoy the rifle! Thanks, Mike |
