Looking to see what people have there triggers set at. I have a bone stock 700 AAC w/ Xmark trigger. I don't have a scale yet, but I am going to guess it breaks close to 4 lbs. adjustment screw doesn't seem to make much difference. I think I would be way satisfied it it were a hunting rifle, but it's just to heavy for shooting small groups. Thinking a Timney 510, but the 520 Calvin Elite is tempting.

What says the hive?

Geissele SSA-E.  2.3lb first stage, 1.2lb second stage = 3.5lb Total.
Basically, the best of both worlds. Nice, clean, light break for precision shots with a great pull-through for rapid fire.

I just installed a Timney 511 (the lefty version of the 510) in my M700 and I adjusted it down from the factory setting. I don't have a scale so it's just a WAG at what the setting is.

I think my 700 triggers are around 3lb.  I wouldn't mind having less on them. Most of my AR triggers are in the 3-4.5lb range.  I had a 1.5lb, but swapped it to a 2lb.

5 oz take up, 7 oz break.

It's a smallbore competition rifle though.

All bolt guns around 3lbs. My scoped AR's all have Geissele's so 4-4.5lbs IIRC.

I like a Timney in the 700 @ 2.9# and SSA/G2S in my AR's around 4/4.5

It's cold weather feel that keeps me from going lower. Even in  AZ a crispy morning makes me loose a lot of feel in my abused hands

Timney Calvin Elite is the way to go.  Mine is set to 10oz.  Had a 517 and the CE is way better.

Have the same trigger only in stainless on Rem 700 5R set at 12oz. The Rem trigger (PRO X) would jump around from 1 1/2 to 3lbs.

1.3 lbs on the Jewell trigger. My Huber 2-Stage is 1.9 so the break is about 1 lb.

Thanks for posting that.  I haven't researched triggers for my M700 project yet, but you may have saved me a few steps
