^^^ This. http://jbmballistics.com/cgi-bin/jbmdist-5.1.cgi I think in my area (1000ft ASL), the 77gr SMK goes 5200yds, and the 175gr SMK goes 5400yds. I'd guess the 185gr would reach 5500-5600yds. ETA: I got 5900yds with the 185gr. |

I tried the ballistic calculator and got the same result I should have been a little clearer I was wondering what it's effective range would be I.e. at what distance would it still be supersonic |

IME the 185Jugger does fine in transonic.
Mine did fine to 1005yds on a cold day at below sea level pressures starting out at 2545fps. The question is, what do consider effective? If you want to make 80% hits on an IPCS silhouette then probably 800yds. Just a matter of what you want to achieve. |

I'm not sure what to consider effective, I'm new to this I just hit on a really really accurate load with the 185 juggers loaded to mag length so I was curious what it would be capable of. I'm still working on 208 amax loads. I can load to 3.030" and still be .020" off the lands. I'm trying RL17 right now. |
