found out a guy at work reloads his own 5.56. he sells it super cheap but i was wondering if there is any issues i could face. he does it saposidly to the spec of standard 5.56 ammo.

i just dont want to have a bullet blow up on me or one so scraping down the side of my barrel or anything.

i wont be running suppressed with it it would be practice ammo.

taking a huge risk shooting someone else's reloads IMHO.

Hes taking a huge risk selling them without the proper licenses, etc, IMHO.
Just screams bad idea to me.

In case someone hasn't mentioned it yet, bad idea.

You would be much better off shooting tulammo/tula for $5.50 a box at walmart. Seriously. Its all about the quality control.

I reload and am very confident in the rounds I produce (limited calibers as of now), but would not sell/give them to anyone. I have given advice as to the equipment they might acquire, components to choose, reference books to read and results to expect. No seems to be the answer here.

Bad idea.

Factory ammo = cheap
Reloading equipment = cheap
Fingers, eyes, nose = not so cheap

I reload for every caliber I shoot. To me the reloading is a hobby in it's self, not a necessity.

Hope is Licensed 06/07. Hope he has Insurance!  Hope he has ammo pressure tested? if loading to 5.56 most of that comes in new brass with crimped primers.  Crimping primers is not something done out side a OEM or larger Remanufacturer. Sounds to be good to be true!
