I would like to find a non-extruded powder for .300wsm. Strictly for ease of metering purposes. But I'm not sure if it would be worth it. I'm currently using 4831 and 208gr AMAX bullets.

Check out the short cut versions of the old standby's from IMR. They're easy metering, almost as easy as true ball powders.

I guess that is what the SC stands for. Is there a lot of variation in charges from the standard to SC?

You will need to rework your loads with SC. The loads grain weights are not that different but they are different. I switched from 4831 to 4831SC in 338 WM and accuracy improved.
