I have my first 3G match coming up and I'm pretty excited. Tired of shooting paper from a bench and really want to improve my skills more than compete but from everything I've heard, it should be a blast.
I've spent my cash on guns and the gear is a bit novice-ish. I actually make all my own stuff out of kydex as a hobby to keep me away from the boob tube.
I'm curious to get opinions on what else I need.
First, what I have (all in the pic).
AR-15; 16 inch middy (will take off the light but it's in the HD mode right now) plus 8 mags
Mossberg 930 converted for 3 gun: welded lifter and a 8 round mag tube and XS sights
FNX-9 w/ 4 mags I have two more but the springs are a bit worn (mainly use them as range mags and sometimes they don't lock the slide)
Kydex gear is as follows:
FNX-9 holster
Single FN mag pouch
Double FN Mag pouch
AR-15 mag pouch that is coupled with two (doubt I would use 3 total but I can remove one easily enough)
AR-15 mag pouch coupled with an FN mag pouch
4, 6 round shotgun shell caddys
1, 4 round shotgun shell caddy

The FNX holster can be seen here

I've ran around the back yard with the holsters and nothing falls out. I use a 1.5 inch leather belt so it's a bit floppy but will work for this season.
I really can't afford any of the cool gear for awhile, plus I enjoy the kydex stuff.
I have a very large bug out bag from my .mil time that I was going to use for transportation. I also have a el-cheapo plano case that can hold both the rifle and SG.

What I would like to get info on is:
Do I need more SG caddy's?
More PMAG holsters (honestly I can't imagine I would need more)?
and the biggy: what miscellaneous stuff should I have??

Thanks for any advice/comments

You're better set up to get started than most! An extendy-mag for the AR is handy (40 rounder, Nordic 48 rounder, or Surefire 60), but you're not likely to get one of those right now. A lot of us subscribe to the Kurt Miller light modified choke theory, if you don't have something close to that then find one. But you're plenty well set up to go, most important thing is to start getting some experience!

A USPSA pistol match is a little easier to chew if you don't have any competition experience at all.

The thing that I see most often is that people don't have a good zero on their rifle for 100+ yard shots. That's frustrating for everyone. Get a 200 yard zero if you can, if not, zero about 2" high at 100.

Looks pretty good.  You've got enough rifle mag holders, I only bring 1 to matches.  An extended or coupled mags will get you through most stages, the one on my belt is just backup.  Your shotgun shell holders will get you through the vast majority of matches.  If you're planning on shooting an Ironman or Rocky Mountain style match that has a crazy shotgun stage then you might need a couple more.  Other accessories I can think of are extended mags for the pistol.  Rifle my next upgrade would be a muzzle brake then an aftermarket trigger if you don't have one in there already.  I can't think of anything that you don't have that would make a significant difference in performance.  Have fun at your match.

You have a great start.  The only thing I think you might NEED is maybe some flags for your rifle and shotgun.  Most fields want you to flag out your weapon for safety.  I local range and field require it.  Also maybe a stroller or something in that nature to haul all of your gear, also nice hearing and eye protection is essential.  I noticed the small things like that make your 3 gun day much easier and enjoyable.

Spiff034... Kurt made me loctite the light modified in

OP... learn to reload weak handed if you can.... a cart of some kind saves a lot of energy... I use a milk crate bungeed to a small folding hand truck with a PVC hooks for the long gun muzzles.... a bag attached to the handle to load magazines out of... allows you to carry extra shotshells and water without making a trip back to the car

Thanks all.
FYI-
Have an SSA trigger in the AR
Have yellow ECIs for all the weapons.
Good idea on the milk cart/dolly.

Right now, i'm reloading like this guy (but a lot slower): Russian dude with SG loading skills
I would like to get a TWINS system from CarbonArms but maybe in a year or two. I can make my kydex caddys at 2, 6 shells caddys, for about $15.

Think about moving the red dot sight back closer to your eye - it gives a wider FOV and is faster in my experience. Don't follow the tacticool crowd blindly.

Of all the kydex stuff I have built, the shotgun caddies are the most boring plus time consuming. At this point I would say sorry got my plate full at this time.
But really, it's not very hard but can be time consuming. Everything you need to know is here
