I am old and broke down. Looking for some Mil type knee pads. Have looked around and found jack. Any ideas.

I've used these and like them.

some of the guys in my company have these and swear by them, but I've never worn them.

I just picked up the Hatch XTAK's on Friday.  Seem well built and they are comfortably padded but the straps seems small and are a little tight even when adjusted all the way out.  I would consider my legs to be slightly bigger than average in diamter but not huge.

I much prefer these elbow pads (don't slip around like hard ones): Hatch Centurion

For knee pads, these don't have velcro (which loses grip over time): Alta

Paintball needpads will work well and may be cheaper.  I used to use them often when I played years ago and they are quite confortable.

Same here. Used to play paintball so I already had the elbow pads and knee pads from paintball. I like how well the ones made for paintball breath compared to most others. They stay in place well to even when running and diving into the dirt.
