Ive done a few cmpetitions here locally in alabama now and havent seen one other person running a sig pistol. I love my 226 and cant for the life of me see why it seems noone runs one.

for many competition shooters, the centerline of the bore sits too high above the grip...causing more muzzle flip, and slower follow up shots

I have seen P226 X-Five competition models running.

Ok there are a few reasons and I used to be a big sig fan.
1. being the DA pull sucks.
2. High bore axis which magnifies muzzle flip.
3. low capacity compared to the competition. A friend of mine has an X5 in 40 and it holds 14 rounds or so. In 9mm its like 19 I believe while a Glock to an STI is 22 to 24 rounds.
Sigs are reasonable carry guns but not the best for competition. Although some people have ran them very well like Eric Lund.
