I run an M3K and have had some occasional issues with the shell catch not dropping a shell when the cartridge release button is pushed. Rarely happens during a string of fire but I got caught out last weekend in a match when I ran it dry and loaded 4, hit the button and no shell dropped.

Typically the catch will release if the bolt is cycled vigorously.

It will always fail to drop the shell if the mag is fully loaded with 9 plus a Remington slug as the first shell out of the tube, not sure if the shape/surface of that slug's brass is catching the latch or what, but it has a hard time releasing it. Appears the spring that opens the catch assembly has a hard time overcoming the pressure from the magazine spring.

-Slightly opened up port below follower (bottom of gun)
-Nordic MXT +6 tube with moa precision follower, spring cut to about 12" past tube.

I have a new shell latch assembly on the way, but has anyone else seen this? Suggestions?

I love this gun and have had no other issues with it at all, been great.

I only had this problem when I had too much magazine spring tension. Had accidentally ordered a Nordic HD mag spring and it was way too much.

Huh, that is a thought.

I'm a little paranoid about cutting the spring too much and causing feeding issues but I'll order an extra one and see how far I can cut it.

I wouldn't go shorter then 12" on the spring.  You're better off in the long run with a longer tube.
