What are you guys using as chamber flags?  I was just using a standard rifle flag, but someone at my local store recommend i not since they have issues with them damaging ejectors on the shot guns. Doing some searching on line if found several different styles.  So was curious as to which ones work well.

thanks

I use this one:

Safe T Plug

I prefer it over all of the others. If you are worried about extractor damage it's the way to go. Your bolt stays locked to the rear and you insert it into the open hole. Stays in place, and is very visable from a long distance.

if you have to supply flags for possibly a large group of new shooters.....a bag of high visibility yellow/orange cable tie works pretty well... make sure they are long enough that you can make a large loop that won't go down the barrel...

I use a long yellow tie wrap,,, loop it about the size of a quarter,,, it won't slide past the chamber, and the bolt can safely close on it.

Surprisingly, the Tapco ones are the only one's I haven't broken.

Check out Plugr. They made some for my team mate and I for both our rifle and shotgun. Very nice.

Yes these are good.  I bought a bunch of the plain ones from CMP, great to hand out for a match.  Most major matches also have them.

I have some orange ones that look like the TAPCO ones.  The guy at the shop, actually the same shop i bought them at for my rifles, said they can bend your ejector if you aren't careful letting the bolt gently forward.

Check out ChamberView's "Empty Chamber Indicator" (ECI) Chamber-View
http://www.brownells.com/manufacturers/CHAMBER%20VIEW/index.htm

I really like that it seals the ejection port, is HIGHLY visible and is much more durable than others on the market..

I added the RBF lanyards..

Freedom Munitions usually gives them out for free at most big matches.  They work the best because the are free and say Freedom Munitions on them.

Lump me into the ChamberView pack. Nice product -- the AR15 one even fits the Tavor ;)
