I have IC, Mod, and Full. I use IC about 70% of the time, Mod 30%. I have yet to use the full in the last 5 years of shooting majors. These numbers include shooting the Rockcastle Shotgun match and the Pan Am IPSC shotgun match last year.

There are some benefits to a couple of the others, but they are certainly not required.

Kurt Miller recommended a light modified... so far it has taken every reasonable steel target but a "spinner" with 7 1/2 shot... shoots slugs extremely well

I have all but Light Full and Extra Full.

I use IC ro LM 90% of the time. I occasionally run the Diffusion if its an al clay or full size pepper poppers or forward falling poppers. The full or IM gets used around no shoots and spinners.
