I bought a CSR-1516 when I first got into 3-gun and it was a great rifle but I got the itch to make a few changes. Hopefully it goes well, I should be able to test it out soon.
-CSR upper receiver
-VDI low mass BCG
-Faxon pencil barrel
-SLR adjustable gas block
-JM brake
-PRI charging handle
I am going to reuse the CSR tube handguard because I am cheap and handguards are expensive. I am going to take some material off it to try to lighten it up a little more though. Can't wait to try the adjustable gas system with the (relatively) low-mass BCG. I hear tell when tuned they kick like a 22.

Got the rifle finished and test fired it today. With the gas opened up one click open from short stroking there is no felt recoil and just slight muzzle rise that I suspect would be taken care of with a better compensator. As it sits it weighs 7lb 5oz and handles very well. I will be shooting it tomorrow at a match in Tabor City NC....cant wait :).
