OK, I think I know the answer, but are the 45 degree offset iron sights allowed in any division other than Open?
Does 300 blk qualify for Heavy Metal? I didn't think it did, but there was some confusion. Also, on the "Down & Dirty" classifier stage, is it required that all 3 weapons are used, or is it at the shooter's discretion? I am with the Beckley Gun Club in WV. We have had 3 gun matches for a few years, but just signed up on 3-Gun Nation this past week. I just want to make sure that we are following the rules to ensure consistency. Thanks, Dave |

DISCLAIMER: The answers below refer to IMA-SMM3G rules, which are what we use at my home range and I had a hand in writing, and which are used pretty widely amongst outlaw 3-Gun matches across the nation. However, there are lots of matches out there, and lots of individual rules variations, so check the rules of your chosen match to be sure.

The .308Win is by far the most common in this division, but any .30 caliber rifle cartridge (7.62x39, 300BLK and the various other less well known .30 caliber loads) can qualify if you can load it up to the required power factor. You can contact Rob, Chad or Pete anytime via their email. This is probably a Rob questioner maybe a Pat Kelley question. They're emails are their first names @3gunnation.com |
