I'm thinking of signing up for the CMMG Midwest 3 Gun in MO this May. I'm relatively new to the world of 3G, and have only gone to 1 real match which was the 2011 Rockcastle. I liked the Rockcastle (AM) a lot- My question is, how does the CMMG 3gun compare? If I'm an amateur, is it worth plopping down the $250 to go to the CMMG? Or should I just continue training at the Rockcastle AM until I'm good and ready?

Here are the videos from 2010. 2010 Midwest 3 Gun The match is a lot of fun. In my opinion the match fee is worth it. With that said there is not anywhere near as much going on at the Midwest 3 gun as compared to the ProAm. The prize table is not nearly as big either. You are paying the match fee for a great match not for the ProAm type carnival of cool gun stuff we all love. |
