So I'm looking into purchasing a new shotgun because I want to try my hand at 3 gun. Today I stopped in at the above mentioned big box store. They had a nova and the 3500 and some rems. I asked the sporting good manager while he was helping me if he could remove the trigger guard so I could feel the triggers on a couple of the shotguns I'm not familiar with. His exact response to me was "Hell no, I'm not getting shot." Am I crazy or is that totally out of line?  Now I'm not an overly sensitive super p.c. guy or anything but I thought that was pretty insulting to say that he could get shot by me. Like I have a diabolical plan of walking into dicks with double 00 in my pockets to maim or kill the clerk helping me to possibly buy a gun. So I can tell you I won't be spending any of my money at dicks ever again. When I asked the store manager if this was company policy he said it was, which is absolutely fine. Their store their policies but to tell a potential customer you will not take the trigger guard off because u don't want to get shot by them is just rude. The store manager seemed not to even care. Idk I guess maybe I expect too much in this anti gun culture we live in today.

Dick's had a guy in mn walk up to the counter asked to look at a shotgun and proceeded to blow his own head off. They might be a little over cautious.

You shouldn't be there in the first place. They chose to stop selling ARs and you're posting on an AR website. Why support someone who doesn't support you?

The no selling ar thing I did not know. That's 1 more reason to not go in there anymore.

They stopped selling them post Sandy Hook due to Liberal pressure. They had a big sale in AR's Black Friday of that year. Sold a Troy Battle Rifle for around $800. Tons of people ordered some on rain check. After Sandy Hook they cancelled all of those pre orders and stopped selling AR's all together. I refuse to buy anything from them ever since then. I do go in and try things out so I can order them online though.
