My 15 YO daughter started shooting an S&W 15-22 in mid June.  By the end of June she was shooting a 5.56 carbine along with the 15-22.

Her goal was to become a good shot and go Boar hunting Thanksgiving weekend. By mid July she was good, very good.

I made Boar targets and she was drilling head and neck shots at 25, 50 and 100 yards using a Tru Glo 2x 40 red dot. She was out shooting me hands down.

One thing she kept saying was "We need to shoot moving running targets"

I thought that I would have her try a shotgun at clay birds. She hated the shotgun. "A shotgun feels funny almost alien my AR feels like a friend" or words to that effect.

We hunted in Florida last Saturday. I shot a Boar that had been fighting a dog and had fucked up the dog bad. That was an easy shot because the Boar was standing its ground and ready for more fighting.

Then it was my daughters turn. We roamed around in the swamp buggy for 20 min or more and came to a cattle pond and there were some Boars in the mud there.

"Take the big" one said the guide, "I don't have a clear shot" said my daughter and the guide drove the swamp buggy closer.

At about 75 yards the hogs took off with the big one in the lead.

BOOM, BOOM , BOOM.....BOOM,BOOM, and it went down. As we drove up to where it dropped another one started up running, this was about 30 yards away when it took off.

Again BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, BOOM,BOOM and that one went ass over tea kettle.

My daughter had hit the first one twice and the second one once.

She has expressed disappointment in her shooting and wants to shoot moving targets better. Personally I thought she did good but she wants to do better.

All I can think of is to try Sporting Clays with a 20 GA. That being said a 20 GA is not her "Friend"

Any of you guys have any ideas on training on fast moving Boars.

Thanks in advance.

BIG party balloons over a dry plowed field on a not to windy day.   You should be able to stand behind her and mark her shots

Great read OP, you did well. You have a wonderful, bright daughter.

Without spending a lot of money on some kind of target system and having private land to practice on there isn't much that can be done other than just continuing to hunt. It takes practice and is somewhat instinctual. She sounds like a smart shooter that takes it seriously!

When I was a boy (before dirt), we used to take old tires and tape cardboard in the center and roll them down a not to steep hill.
Mades good running practice if you have a place for that.

We did that when I was a kid too.  OP, sounds like your daughter is going to be one heck of a huntress!  Have her check out this video.

Bob Foulkrod uses a old 3-wheeler with one tire removed and the back proper up to to winch a rope to practice. We used to use an old tire with a target in the center. Prop it up on a hill and shoot the prop and then shoot the target as it went down the hill.

Or tie them to a radio controlled car.  You drive the car and she shoots the balloons.

Or as other have mentioned, tire down a hill.
