Dad picked up one of these and we mounted it up under his feeder. Wondering how its going to work. He has got a ton of hogs down at his feeder.

We used them for a couple of years and they worked.  We also rigged a LED tail light hooked up to a 12v batter and a solar charger that worked just as good.

Thanks. We mounted this under the feeder just by the magnet an it is hooked up to the feeder battery via the gator clips it comes with. The battery on the feeder is hooked up to a solar panel.

You can just stick some solar powered lawn lights around the feeder and they work just as well.

I use them regularly. I have discovered that they will absolutely kill your feeder battery in no time. The C cell batteries you put in them will last about a week with strong light and another week with weak light, but enough to take shots.

Good luck. I have had good success with them.

Thank you very much. We hooked it up to the battery and left it turned OFF and planned to turn it to the auto mode once we went up for the weekend to hunt. Hopefully that won't drain much off the battery since its off. We probably won't even use it until after deer season anyways.
