So I finally got to make the drive down and hunt with Joe. I went with a friend and we had a great time. Each night out we had a chance at a group of pigs. I now know that the pvs-14's are the shit at night. I was able to put the nv on my rifle and use my comp m4 and my t1. The thing that sucked for me was I developed a chest cold 2 days before we left and that along with my allergies wasnt fun at all. Coughing was horrible but it didnt keep us from killing pigs and a coyote. If we wouldve been on a coyote hunt we wouldve had several. All in all I had a good time and I will for sure be going back down. I have several friends that are interested as well. Id for sure say that if anyone wants to hunt pigs and needs some help then call Dehoganator he will find you some. Here are a couple pics..

We had a blast with a kill each night and dozens of shots on the others in each of the 2 sounders, I heard several more impacts on the runners ! We got close on the 1st ambush and the second night I set us on a feeder (30 yards) and the damn pigs came from the south right between us and the feeder, haha... they payed. So close I couldn't instruct...screwed up by saying wait...all of them wern't at the feeder and there was a larger one that entered from the south south west and stayed behind the trees :( At that distance there is that extra rush along with the norm. |
