My father, brother, and I want to go down to Texas or Oklahoma to hunt hogs for entire week. We want to hunt them multiple ways (blind, stalk, dog, and NV). I have one piggy in the bag but they have been blanked the past two times on a hunt so they are chompin at the bit to get one. I prefer to hunt free range but at this point they could care less if they were tied to a tree .
Any good recommendations on a outfitter or ranch? No objections to going to two or three different ranches we just want a week long "Hog safari" for some memories. And we are normal joe blue collar guys so no $7,000+ hunts. So talk it up fellas and help a father and sons put one in the scrapbook. |

from what i've read on this form, Dehoganator has pretty good recomindations.... check him out he can shoot ya a price, he has some access to land on the sabine, i hunt on the WMA sabine, no baiting, or night vision thar, have had a lot of luck... Just to clarify (as I am looking to do some public land hunting) Sabine National Forest near Toledo Bend or Old Sabine WMA north of Tyler? Chris |

I've hunted south of Center, west of toledo and my private property sabine river spot is nothwest of tyler. both places got good hogs. Get a type 2 license and look at the type 2 spots.
JUST DON'T SHOOT AT GLOWING EYE'S AFTER DARK...the GW has stuffed hogs with tacks in there eye's... We call the deer robot bucky, there was a guy that kept shooting bucky, blew the head movement motor out of his neck...haha and kept shooting. The GW ran out of the woods hollering stop shooting...1st time I'm letting this out, got it from a pretty good source about the fake hogs..its said that near davey crocket forest people are wearing out the fakes...damn people follow the law...right. |

don't think any of the WMA unit's allow baiting or hunting hogs at night.. the unit i been hunting is north of Tyler, in past have always had luck, last year, not sure if it was the drought but didn't see any hogs, an very little sign down their... only been their once this year...
